TGO Challenge 2017: War Memorials

I’ve always been very moved by war memorials and the thought of the lives sacrificed in the two World Wars so that we can enjoy freedom and democracy. This Challenge brought that home even more as I passed these memorials.

  1. I share your interest in war memorials and never fail to feel moved as I stand before them. The thing that strikes me most, is that even the smallest communities and hamlets have them. A village may have only had a few dozen inhabitants, but men from these places served and died and all too often you will see names of men from the same family.
