JMT to buy land in Wales

Until now, the John Muir Trust has confined its purchases to land in Scotland. In an exciting new development, the Trust is looking to buy some land in Wales. It’s looking to purchase Carreg y Saeth Isaf (meaning lower rock of the arrow) in the the Rhinogydd (Rhinogs).

Rather than blather on about it, you can find more information on this page on the JMT website. There is an appeal to raise £500,000 for the purchase and you can make a donation from this page.

If anything, the pressure on wild land in Wales is even greater than in Scotland, so this has to be a positive development to preserve some of the wildest land in the the land of the Walha. I hope you can join me in supporting the appeal.

Disclosure: I am a member of the John Muir Trust and have made a donation to the appeal.
