TGO Challenge 2014

I have applied for the 2014 TGO Challenge and today I received confirmation my application has arrived safely. Because I was unsuccessful on the standby list this year, I’m more or less certain to be selected. It was disappointing to have to drop out of the 2012 Challenge with illness, so I’m hoping for better luck this time. I’m probably going to take a more northerly route starting at Strathcarron. I’ve plotted a route but there’s no hurry to finalise it yet.

  1. Have a marvellous crossing, Robin. I, too, have received confirmation that my application has been received – but I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m on the standby list, given the competition for places. I enjoyed my Strathcarron start in 2007; I hope you enjoy yours.

  2. Good luck with the TGO – that’s one walk I hope to do one day, but first, I’ll have to get some Scottish Walks in to acclimatise as it were πŸ™‚

  3. Are you in? I hope so, look forward to reading all about the prep and the walk. I’m aiming to apply for TGO2015. By the way, thanks for all the tips on the Scarp mods, my Scarp is now fully ‘tricked out’ in the (c)Blogpackinglight mods. πŸ™‚
