Met Office forecast for next week:

“Wednesday through to Friday looks like it will form into a southeast-northwest split with heavy rain or showers and strong southerly winds in the north and west with the southeast remaining drier and clearer with possible overnight mist and fog problems. Some ground frost may develop in the east. For the weekend and early part of next week it looks as though it will continue in a similar pattern with the southeast drier, and the west and north wetter.”

Good test for my new wet weather strategy!

If true to form, your backpacking plans are more reliable than any forecast!.
