Yes, the Wild Camping e-petition is steadily moving up the charts and is now firmly inside the top 100 e-petitions. Hilary Benn, what do you make of that then? The petition has now exceeded the response level of the Scottish legislation at 1351. As BG points out, this is tremendous given the lack of support/indifference of the various clubs and associations that ought to have an interest. If the RA or C&CC had got behind it, then it might have got into the top 50 or 25 by now. I find it puzzling why there is this lack of interest. Oh well, soon I’m off to the land where wild camping is a right, or at least it is until Lister sticks an electric fence around it!

Ah well, if I ever get charged for breaking the law by wild camping then I shall have to ask for a few thousand other cases to be taken in to consideration.
